I dont see how anyone can honestly read through most, if not all, of KT09's posts and see that this guy is not genuinely on this forum trying to help us. It is impossible to read his posts and say "this guy is a spammer" "hes not here to help hes here to earn". To call him anything but "a good guy who feels our pain and is offering assistance" you either,
1. barely,if at all, read what he writes
2. are bias, and have some sick motives of your own
3. you have given up on life and believe that there is absolutly no cure for bb
4. or just plain and simply DUMB.
How is he here to earn and not help, if the majority of information he posts on here is absolutly free of charge. ZIP, ZILCH, ZERO. basic valualable information, such as how to gauge your breah after any possible cures, free of charge. He doesnt have to post a damn thing on his site, especially since he is bb free, but he does because he cares. How many cured ppl post on this site? take time to think. exactly.
I really hope certain people questioning KT's motives and constantly being negative towards him dont make him say "f*ck it, f*ck yall, im out. Good luck finding a cure you stink motherf*ckers." Because if KT leaves this site, I personally would miss his knowledge.
I pray to god nobody gets hurt trying these meds. KT is not here trying to kill or get paid off of anyone. If those are his intentions, he must be some kind of mastermind becaue he got me fooled. This guy is the real deal man, leave him alone.

It's the internet, and we are somewhat personally responsible for what we believe and choose not to believe. It's definitely not the responsibility of Jimi to babysit every member.ac10 wrote: I pray to god nobody gets hurt trying these meds.
If you're really worried, age prevent the site, so children aren't reading and you're fine. Adults are responsible for their own actions, at least in my country.
That I disagree with. If someone gets hurt, Im sure some lawyer out there can hold jimi accountable for being the owner of this site and for not regualitng life threatnings activites. again hopefully nothing like that happens because KT, in my opinion, is clean as a whistleelliott wrote: It's definitely not the responsibility of Jimi to babysit every member.
I never think that KT is a scammer . I believed his story and his INITIAL intention to help others , but not everyone with bad breath has candidiasis and it's not wise and prudent to try antifungal medicine without knowing for sure that you have candidiasis . That's why we need doctors to make the diagnosis and prescribe medicines . If any one can have access to antibiotic and use it at will , surely that someday we will not have effective medicine to treat infection due to bacterial resistance resulted from careless use of antibiotics. We are desperate , but we do not lose our mind yet .

Jimi, I really appreciate your work and dedication to helping people out, but at the same time common sense tells me KT is also trying to help out. It's pretty obvious he has given the time and effort to reach out to people with his discoveries, theories, knowledge or just plain insights and opinions. His posts are detailed and relevant. They are really well thought out. He has even made a video of how to make yogurt. I think we should give him a little credit to his dedication also.
As for the anti-fungal drugs, I understand the danger but even without him "selling" these drugs people will somehow get a hold of it somehow. When there is a will there is a way. It's just that it might be a more expensive and time consuming way. Also, I don't think people here are going to turn into anti-fungal drug addicts. If the drugs help, then we know our problem. If it doesn't, it's the old cliche "we can eliminate one possible cause" and we can dump the anti fungal solution. For me personally, the anti-fungal drugs did not work but I discovered that the anti-candida diet was helping. I'm still not 100% cured but KT has put me in the right direction of balancing a good diet.
I think my point is you guys both helped me out, so lets just be less pessimistic and work together.

Ummmm, thanks I think. But i'm not sure why you capitalized INITIAL and used the past tense of the verb believe. My intentions have not changed since I joined this forum, they have always been to help people.sadman wrote:I never think that KT is a scammer . That we do sadman, that we do.sadman wrote:That's why we need doctors to make the diagnosis and prescribe medicines.
I completely agree, not everyone should use antibiotics or anti fungals. Only those that could benefit from their use should use them. As far as I know, some people who suffer from bad breath have benefited from their use, so I'd say they are included in that list of people who are justified in trying them.sadman wrote:If any one can have access to antibiotic and use it at will , surely that someday we will not have effective medicine to treat infection due to bacterial resistant to careless use of antibiotic. Ok, if anyone wants to debate any points with me, please read everything I wrote in these 4 posts please before they do so.sadman wrote:It's unethical and unwise to give antifungal medicine to anyone just because candida infection might be a cause of his bad breath . You need to make a definitive diagnosis of fungal infection by clinical examination and if needed endoscopy and positive lab result before saying that someone have candidiasis which might be the cause of his bad breath and antifungal treatment is then needed and justified, just as you can try a tooth extraction , a tonsillectomy to get rid of your bad breath IF YOU HAVE THOSE PROBLEMS . That's why I said you can not presume that fungal infection is the cause of your BB and try antifungal medicine no matter what the cause is and what the side effects are

I am beginning to sound like a broken record. Let me say it yet again. I am in complete agreement that people should be trying to find a doctor who is willing to explore the Candida route with them before they try any anti fungal treatment. If people are able to find a doctor who is willing to take them seriously when they mention Candida as a cause of their bad breath, then by all means stick with that doctor!
I understand that you feel people should be diagnosed with Candida before they are treated for it, but I don't understand what you said about wisdom teeth removal or tonsil removal. What do you mean "IF YOU HAVE THOSE PROBLEMS."
I can tell you I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at once, and it surely wasn't because they were causing me any problems. In fact if it weren't for bad breath I would probably still have all four of those wisdom teeth in my mouth. The only reason I tried wisdom teeth removal was because I read on the internet it worked for some people. Well, it didn't work for me but oh well, I tried it. I also had my tonsils out. That surgery wasn't specifically because of bad breath, it was more because I always had a problem with my tonsils growing up because they were abnormally large. I've already told that story (again, in the threads that I posted above if you will read them). Even though bad breath wasn't the sole reason I had my tonsils removed, you can believe it was apart of my decision making process. Did it help? No, but whatever, I still tried it. And you know what, i'm happy I tried those two things. At least I knew that they weren't the cause of my bad breath once they were out so I didn't waste my time on them anymore. (I emphasize my because I am only talking about myself personally. I totally think other people should consider those two things if they are searching for a cure for their bad breath.
This is what I found from a google search...Maybe we should ask a woman, they would be able to tell us better...I don't know, if it smells anything like beer as they mention below then that already smells pretty bad to me. I can't stand the smell or taste of beer. And if it smells like yeast then it makes me sick already, probably because I haven't eaten anything with yeast in it for a very long time.sadman wrote:The discharge from a vaginal yeast infection is usually odorless , that's what I read about from Google searches . Only bacterial vaginitis has a smelly discharge
# Bacterial vaginosis: This is characterized by thin, homogenous, malodorous white-to-grey vaginal discharge and pruritus. Vaginal pain or vulvar irritation is uncommon.
# Vaginal candidiasis: Pruritus is the most common symptom of vaginal candidiasis. This is accompanied by thick, odorless, white vaginal discharge (with an appearance similar to cottage cheese) that can be minimal. Usually, associated vulvar candidiasis is present, commonly with vulvar burning, dyspareunia, and vulvar dysuria (burning sensation when urine comes into contact with vulva skin).

The infection odor is easily recognized and smells like something you would find in a bakery when bread is baking. By attacking the yeast infections and getting the vagina back into a proper balance, the odor will go away on its own and leave you with your natural musky smell.
Just as yeast infection odor can be caused by too much yeast being formed in the vagina, other odors can be caused if the fungus gets out of hand. Other causes can be STDs. When any odor, be it yeast infection odor or other odor is noticed it means, the body is out of balance and something needs to be done to return it to the proper balance.

Hey Everyone,
I just had a great idea. Instead of bickering between ourselves, why don't we take that energy and put it to good use? It's quite obvious that whether you agree or disagree with me, the general consensus is that the medical establishment as a whole has failed to address the needs and the concerns of those who are suffering with bad breath. I don't believe that there is one magic cure for bad breath. But I do believe that if a person has the resources available, they are able to find the cure for their own bad breath. And having the guidance of a doctor is like the biggest resource that a person could have! In fact, doctors have a duty to be apart of a bad breath sufferers journey. After all, this is a medical condition! Be it doctor or dentist, they should be helping us and not dismissing us.
Anyway, this site has how many visitors? I think if we all joined together and formed some organization, like a bad breath organization, we could seriously start to work to change the minds of the medical community. One person cannot do much, but together we have a stronger voice. Maybe the goal of the organization could be to actually get the medical community to take bad breath sufferers seriously and quit thinking that it is just some "cosmetic" condition. Or maybe the goal could be to get them to accept that not all bad breath cases are solved by a simple trip to the dentist, and to try harder when they get a patient who complains of bad breath?
I don't know, I'm just throwing the idea out there. I totally wouldn't mind being a part of something like that. What do you guys think?

For what it's worth I'd like to say a few words.
First off if KT is a "scammer" then he's probably THE best scammer on the Internet (and at the same time the most underused). I've read through a lot of his posts and there's no way in heck that someone with his level of punctuation and thought process is going to be ripping people for $10 or $20 and it's ridiculous to suggest so. I don't care where you live in the World, this sort of money is not a lot any more, not in 2010. And why would he go to so much trouble and take all the flack? It makes no sense whatsoever.
Having said that I do believe there are a couple of things that don't add up. The biggest for me is testimonials, or lack there of. I have no idea how many people KT has sent meds to, but surely 1 or 2 of those would have been cured if there was significant validity behind this? Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying KT is lying by saying it worked for him, I just find it strange that we don't have a lot more in terms of success stories.
And there lies the inherent cruelty of BB. Like KT has rightly said, there are many factors in determining why we suffer. If you break your leg, or have tooth ache, you go see a professional, get a scan and within 24 hours you're on the road to recovery. If only it were so simple.
Jimi, I can tell just be glancing over your posts you're totally pissed with life and who could blame you. I actually think it's commendable you've taken the time to create this forum and allow people to speak freely. That I respect. However it does feel as though in your search for a cure you have become extremely negative towards everyone and everything. I just hope this doesn't deter people with possible cures from posting here. I know there are people far more sensitive than KT.
KT, thank you for staying the course and helping with all the information you've posted. I've been meaning to reach out to you for a long time now, but due to personal stuff haven't gotten round to it. I think the idea of an association is in principle a very good idea. However I feel like many things that in reality it would be extremely difficult to put together. I think finding people who would be willing to participate at the level required would be near impossible. That's just my opinion though and I could wrong (I am a lot).
On a personal note things are pretty damn low for me at the moment. I won't go into it as I don't want to sound selfish, but all I can think about is trying to get rid of this horrible curse. And yet at the same time I'm not really doing anything to help myself. It's like I'm digging my own grave and have no way out. I'm sure a lot of you can relate with that though.
Take care everyone.

Actually I just had a good idea too! Or at least I reckon it is.
Why don't we setup some sort of very basic scientific research group? We could start by creating a way for people to get tested from home for Candida.
To me this is the biggest problem in finding a cure, having the means and confidence to "go out there" and get help.
I remember your original thread KT where you showed all your doctor scans, that was great. What if people had a way to get similar results from the comfort of their own homes? I know for me that would make a massive difference to things. It's not like I hate going out, I go out every day, but going out and telling someone about your problem with the high probability they'll think you're full of crap is another story.
Plus most of us don't have the financial means to travel to places like Thailand. This could significantly reduce costs on getting diagnosed.
Obviously Candida would be the test project. If that worked we could find reliable professionals that would be willing to diagnose and help people remotely with the other main potential causes.
Maybe it wouldn't work, I really don't know. Surely even if we just did the Candida test it would be worth while though, right?

This is such a difficult dilemma. No one is EVER going to beat this problem without trying things and taking a certain amount of risks. Yes the site owner has legal responsibilities and there are some serious potential implications with what is going on and Jimi knows it and has to cover himself. I could see all this coming weeks ago when I tried to discuss this with KT in the forum to reach some kind of concensus on the risks etc so that this unfortunate situation which now exists could be avoided.
The fact is, people are desperate. They'll try all kinds of tortuous alternative approaches to dealing with candida, through diets etc, with the slight benefits to BB probably being due to nothing more than either a placebo effect or a direct microbial effect in the mouth from the diet itself, and yet antifungals have always been available to prove once and for all whether they "have" candida or not. Its AMAZING to think there were and STILL are those who think they have CANDIDA as the cause of their BB and yet have never tried antifungal medication to rule it out. I think the reason for this is that candida is a comfort cushion, something to fall back on and a way of retaining some hope and sanity through this nightmare.
Its terrible that KT's sincerity is being scrutinized in this way, someone who has CLEARLY only offered to help those who KNOW they'll otherwise struggle to obtain these medications, in the hope that some might be lucky and find that they too had a yeast/fungal cause to their BB - and if not, to be able to rule this out and be able concentrate their efforts in other possible areas.
But the site owner has genuine concerns too. So the simple solution to this is that what goes on in private has no implications to the site's responsibilities. I really hope the matter can now be closed and focus can go back to the theory of how this all started in the beginning.
KT, I just wondered, were you ever seen by an ENT? have you ever suffered with any sinus issues. Could it be that you eradicated a fungal situation inside your sinuses which was the cause of your BB? and that the esophegal candida may have been a result of the sinus infection? The main reason I ask this is because I have been meaning to say for a while that candida and yeast itself doesnt cause much of an odour, its the tissue damage and the establishment of secondary bacterial infections which result in the odours from fungal infections.
Edit:-
Forgot to ask, but I recall you mentioning recently that you believed your BB was purely due to the presense of candida growth inside your esophagus and this was being released as odour in the air you breathed out. Maybe i'm missing something here, but isnt the tube our lungs are connected to the trachea?

Hey Leonardo. Haven't seen you around the forum in a long while. Thanks for coming back to post your message of support. It's appreciated.Leonardo wrote:First off if KT is a "scammer" then he's probably THE best scammer on the Internet (and at the same time the most underused). I actually agree with you, I wish more people would come back and post their follow up stories, regardless of whether they are good or bad. Actually all in all i've sent out less than 50 packages, not a huge amount by any means, but it sure would be nice if all of those people did come back here and post some information. But I did want to share this e-mail I got back on January 12th which might explain why there aren't so many success stories on here. Of course this is only one person's opinion, but it is an unfortunate one to say the least. I can only imagine if one person feels this way about the site then there are more who feel the same way. I really never intended to share this, but I feel the circumstances warrant it now. I edited out personal information of course for privacy issues.Leonardo wrote:Having said that I do believe there are a couple of things that don't add up. I just want to say to anyone who feels the same way, please try and ignore those people who are negative and cynical. Really, the majority of people who search this forum are not like that, and they would really benefit from any success stories. To those people who aren't members here, please sign up and share your experiences. To those who are members here but never post anything, please start posting some information. Really, it will help so many people if everyone could do that. And no one on the forum should be negative. I have made over 270 posts on this forum and not one of them has had a negative undertone. We should all be supportive here because we are all playing for the same team.
Hey mate, pick yourself up. You're not alone in the fight. And sharing your problems wouldn't sound selfish at all. That's what this forum is for, to vent your frustrations to other people who can relate. You've already taken the first step by coming on the forum and interacting with others, now it's just moving that to the real world and start trying to find your cure. I know it's really hard to verbalize with other people that you are aware of your breath problem. It takes a huge amount of courage to look someone in the face and say "I have bad breath and I don't know why". But once you say it, it only becomes easier and easier. And I believe everyone can find that courage within themselves to say it. Perhaps some people don't like to say it to another person because by doing so they admit to the world that they are aware of their own breath problem. Maybe the reason is because some people would rather pretend not to know about it than admit that they are aware of it. Maybe they think it's easier that way, or less painful. But seriously, that kind of behavior will never solve anything. You've just got to get over the initial embarrassment of telling someone you have bad breath. When I went to my doctor here in Thailand, I went into her office, sat down, looked her right in the eyes, and said "I have bad breath and I don't know what's causing it but I've ruled out almost every other possibility so I'm checking with you to see if it's a digestive issue that's causing it." (I went to a gastro doctor which is why I said that.) Anyway mate, I believe you can find the courage to do the same thing too with your doctor. If not with your doctor then at least with your best friend, or your family. And then you can start working on finding the cure. Don't give up hope mate!Leonardo wrote:On a personal note things are pretty damn low for me at the moment. I won't go into it as I don't want to sound selfish, but all I can think about is trying to get rid of this horrible curse. And yet at the same time I'm not really doing anything to help myself. It's like I'm digging my own grave and have no way out. I'm sure a lot of you can relate with that though.
That's a great idea, but i'm not aware of any home testing kits for Candida. And even if you could find one, you would then have to send it to a lab that was specifically able to test for it. But it's not an impossible thing for sure, it will just take some research. I'll start looking into it.Leonardo wrote:Actually I just had a good idea too! Or at least I reckon it is.
Why don't we setup some sort of very basic scientific research group? We could start by creating a way for people to get tested from home for Candida.
To me this is the biggest problem in finding a cure, having the means and confidence to "go out there" and get help.
Hey Hal,halitosisux wrote:KT, I just wondered, were you ever seen by an ENT? have you ever suffered with any sinus issues.
Good to hear from you and thanks for the support. I was seen by an ENT doctor when I lived in America. I would write about it here but I've already written about it over in my original post (in the My Story section, the one with my endoscopy result pics). The post where I talked about the ENT is on the 1st page, a couple of posts down. Let me know if you can't find it. I also saw an ENT doctor here in Thailand but I haven't written about it. I didn't see the ENT doctor in America specifically because of bad breath (which you can read about in the other thread), but the ENT doctor here in Thailand I did see specifically about bad breath. That was before I saw the gasto doctor. It was at the same hospital (BNH hospital). Anyway, the ENT here in Thailand told me there was nothing wrong with my sinuses. They didn't do any x-rays or CT scans though. Actually they didn't even take a culture from my nose. They just shoved a small flashlight up my nose and had a look and said they couldn't see anything. So anyway, i'm not sure how thorough it was. But in my personal opinion I don't believe that I had any problems with my sinuses. They never really bothered me at all.
About the yeast odor, actually I really have no idea how it causes odor or the process behind it. From what I've read there is a sort of "yeasty" odor that presents itself when one has a yeast infection. They say it's similar to a beer smell or a baking bread smell. But since I could never smell my own breath I really have no idea what it smelled like. I just know it smelled bad from what people told me and the reactions I got from those around me. But I have read that as Candida feeds and proliferates in your body it releases a multitude of toxins. I have no idea what exactly all those toxins are, but perhaps one of them could be responsible for a foul odor.
Right you are, the trachea is connected to your lungs and the esophagus is connected to your stomach. But the two tubes do come together at some point. After all we can both eat and breath through our mouths. Again, this is only my opinion, but I believe the odor from my esophagus was mixing with the air I was breathing out. I think the odor from my esophagus was being picked up where these two tubes connect and it was expelled as I breathed out. The reason I think this way is because people could smell my breath even when I was not speaking to them. If I sat down next to someone on the public transportation, or sat next to someone in the movie theater, they would clearly react without me saying a word. So again, that's what I think was going on.halitosisux wrote:Forgot to ask, but I recall you mentioning recently that you believed your BB was purely due to the presense of candida growth inside your esophagus and this was being released as odour in the air you breathed out. Maybe i'm missing something here, but isnt the tube our lungs are connected to the trachea?
Just as a side note, I believe they say that odor can escape from the stomach too which is not really connected to the lungs. I imagine odor from your stomach can travel far enough up the esophagus to where the air your breathing can pick it up and expel it from your body.....Isn't that what a burp is?

Hi KT, and thanks for your response, as detailed as ever! It must be quite unnerving for you to have eliminated your BB and candida infection inside your esophagus and not know the reason why it appeared in the first place. Because its not as if you had any predisposing reason for it to have happened, except for the omeprazole usage and long-term use of antibiotics over the years. This is why I'm wondering whether it might have took hold elsewhere too, like your sinuses for example, where it's more likely to cause the kind of odour to give you BB than it would in your esophagus. Even inside your intestines, had it taken hold there, is more likely to give rise to the absorption of foul contents into your bloodstream. But whatever the pathway was, the antifungal did its job and u now find yourself BB free.
On the subject of odour, I remember my baby nephew had thrush in his mouth soon after he was born, which often happens in babies as they pick up their first germs etc from the mother during birth. It didnt smell bad at all, kind of a damp skin smell, very much like the smell of an empty beer glass in a warm room. If you've ever made some yeast to make bread before, that's exactly what the smell is like.
Not sure about the burp thing. Surely unless your burps smell really foul on an empty stomach, then its not likely for any BB to be originating from there

Hey Hal. You are right, it is quite unnerving that I don't really know the reason why it happened. The doctors were never really able to give me an explanation as to the "why". After I was treated for it, they did the allergy test to see if my body had a normal immune response to Candida, which it did, so it's not like my immune system is unable to fight it off or anything. That leaves me with only my opinion as to why I was susceptible to it. I never really took omeprazole that often (although I guess all it takes is a few times), but I did take antibiotics frequently, like sometimes two or three times per year. And that was from the time I was a baby all the way up until I found out I had Candida, so i'm sure if anything it was more so the heavy antibiotic usage. Plus the fact that I had a very poor diet (refined sugars, high fat's, lots of yeast because I loved bread), I am in general a person who gets stressed out and anxiety a lot when my environment changes, and poor lifestyle choices I made when I was in my teenage years and early twenties. I guess if you just wrap all those things together, it's the perfect catalyst for a constant problem with Candida.halitosisux wrote:Hi KT, and thanks for your response, as detailed as ever! Haha, I guess everyone's opinion on what smells good and what smells bad is different. I think beer smells absolutely horrible. I can't stand to speak to someone who has been drinking beer actually because I hate beer breath. I had a Christmas party awhile back, and people were drinking beer in my apartment. Anyway, the next morning there were empty beer bottles all over the place and it literally took a couple days to get that smell out of my apartment. It smelled awful to me. The damp skin smell doesn't sound too appealing either.halitosisux wrote:On the subject of odour, I remember my baby nephew had thrush in his mouth soon after he was born, which often happens in babies as they pick up their first germs etc from the mother during birth. Again, I'm not really sure "how" my Candida infection caused my breath to smell bad, I just know after I was treated for it the smell was gone.
