what does it mean when you have a nasty taste in your mouth allday and nothing will get rid of the smell when i stick my tougue out i can smell a really ba odor on my tougue when i talk and smell the air it smells really bad

I have a 24 7 bad smell at the back of my throat..it smells like cheese. Some people on this site believe it to be candida.

It means that you have an overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria on your tounge. These bacteria produce foul-smelling gases and usually put a white coating on your tounge (especially near the back) to protect themselves from contact with oxygen. They cannot grow in an oxygen rich environment, but are almost impossible to get rid of because they always reproduce faster than you can kill them. Scraping the tounge and gargling and rinsing with an antibacterial mouthwash helps somewhat.

phant, yuo got that right. I can get my tongue super pink I get all happy but then within minutes you can see it gradually turning whiter and hwhiter

well phant i scrape my tongue really hard and fast and my toothbrush and still cant get em out very painful though still white at the back of my tongue

Guys you better use the right kind of toothpaste. I'm not advertising here but pepsodent really works even if the bad odor comes from smoking, and we all know that cigarette breath is the worst

Sounds like Tonsil stones to me... You still have tonsils don't you?

I used to have that horrible taste in my throat too, but if you clean them out twice a day, or have your tonsils removed, you won't get that anymore.

But as someone else had said in another thread, tonsils don't seem be a cause (there are people with tonsils who don't have BB of course) but since we have BB, the tonsils can make the situation much worse, it seems.

Seriously Leila, "As we all know, cigarette breath is the worst" .. Uh.. no.. Some 50% of all adults smoke.. Cigarette breath ain't fresh, but it's nothing compared to shit breath. I don't think mine is as bad as many people on here, but it's bad enough when it's the equivalent of farting point blank in their faces. I'd rather have the cigarette breath, please... Not to mention, you can get rid of cigarette breath by brushing your teeth.
