Long post but stick with it.

Post by Traylor »

HI everyone.

I'm trying to not get too excited but i've had some real improvement this week.

I went back to my doctor again and begged for more help. So she said why don't we send you for hydrogen breath testing for lactose intolerance. I have been lactose intolerant for about ten years, and it has been very obvious so i hadn't bothered getting tested for it.

So i rang the test centre, and they asked me what test i needed. I said have i have a big problem with halitosis and i'm probably lactose intolerant. So they said ok we will give you 4 seperate tests. 1) A lactulose test which is a synthetic sugar to get a baseline reading. 2) A fuctose test 3) A lactose test, and 4) a glucose test which test for a bacterial overgrowth in the gut.

The tests are spread out over about 10days(due to work restrictions) and i have to go on a special diet which is where i think the improvement is coming from. Because all the tests are essentially testing for sugar intolerance, you have to cut certain sugars from the diet. (when you get the test done, they give you a massive dose of whatever it is their testing an intolerance for ie fructose)

Since i have been on the diet (about 5 days) my breath has been 100 times better!! Not perfect, but much much better. Until now.

I had my second test this morning which was for fructose intolerance. I'm not intolerant (cool) and to celebrate how well i have been going i stopped at a shop on the way home. I bought a meat pie and a slice of chocolate cake with really strong chocolate icing. WEll, now about 5 hours later my poo/sewage breath has returned.

So what was it? The fructose this morning, the meat pie, or the chocolate cake? It could be a combination but i think it could be the sugar in the cake.

Any way, this is the list of things i am supposed to eat at the moment:

Water (unflavoured, uncarbonated), Corn Flakes, Rice Bubbles

Lactose free milk (available in any supermarket in the Long LifeMilk section), Rice milk (available in some Health Food stores)
Sugar -no artificial sweeteners
Egg - Poached/boiled Salt/Pepper
Tea (green/black only - not herbal), Coffee - no coffee substitutes
Corn thins, Rice cakes
Beef, Lamb, Ham, Chicken, Fish - cook in small amount of oil.

NO ONION, GARLIC, stuffing, seasoning, gravy, flavouring,
spices, condiments.

Margarine
Mandarine, Kiwifruit, Strawberries, Orange, Pineapple, Rockmelon

- only eat 1 handful of any combination of these fruits in any2 hour period.

Rice, Potato (peeled), Pumpkin, Carrot, Broccoli, Zucchini,
Mushrooms, Avocado, Tomato, Lettuce (Balsamic Vinegar is
permitted as a dressing)

Breads - Low fibre Gluten-free (“Early Harvest” and “Country
Life” Breads recommended)

Barley sugars
Jelly -no artifi cial sweeteners
Jam -no artifi cial sweeteners, Vegemite
Alcohol - Up to 2 standard drinks prior to 10pm.
Please do not substitute other foods for those listed above.

It's a pretty boring mix of foods but i don't care if it's helping.

So i advise you to try it. Even if it's only a few days. Nothing to lose is there.

And google Hydrogen breath testing if you want to find out more about it.

I'll post the results of my other tests when i get them done.

i have been vegetarian for over 10 years and before when i ate meat the bb was very bad and when i stopped the bb was really better but it was getting worse and worse from time

i think the best diet against bb is fruit and vegetables raw uncooked and some rice, pasta .....

no white sugar, meat, milk eggs ..............

that is my opinion

but stil i am on a very very celean diet for 6 month now and still i have bb

it is better but not so much that people wont react

no i do not eat artificial sweeteners

i do not eat sugar at all

this bb is really ****ing complex problem, it just glues to a person and will not let go

i eat so healthy like it is unbeleivable but still the bb is there

if i eat cooked i cook myself and use veggies, rice, rice noodles, few spices, no pepper

i use onion but i doubt that could really cause the shitty halitosis

Jimi, i really don't know why you started this site.

You only think the suggestions involving money have merit. I can't believe that you would dismiss what i have posted without even trying it.

How hard would it be to try it for a week?

There are naturally occurring chemicals in vegetables and fruits that could be causing the problem.

I have told you that i have noticed a lot of improvement since i have been on this diet, which is only five days.

Would you just prefer we all donate some money and shut up?

do you think that this site is because of money

you are so wrong my friend, do you think anybody covered the costs i had with calling to israel and talikng and translating the interview from sound recording

do you think that i have been payed for that??

i did it for free for all you people, and also told blis to send products for free, i could keep them all for myself, i could have a 6 month supply

so please do not come forward with such stupid thinking

i am just saying that everybody is seeing results all the time but mostly they are short lasting

don't you think that others have tried the diets, like tmau diets etc

i did not say your theory is wrong, i just posted my experience with diet so do not accuse me it is about money because it is not

all i have with this site is financial loss but i still like to be the administrator

so tell me do you know any people that have cured the bb?

i only heard of one and so many sad stories so the ratio is around 1 : 1000

but if you will find a cure god bless you

Ok well i won't bother posting. If this does prove the solution for me you won't know. You can just keep wishing some Doctor in Israel will cure you.
