Today is day 6 of my 90 day Nexium Round. And the time is now 1:43am. I was just about to go brush my teeth and go to bed. As usual I always look at my tounge first to see how white coated it is, or what color gunk is on it......And OMG!! To my surprise my tounge is Literally ROSE PINK!!!
The nexium pills kicked in rather quick with eliminating the heartburn...but my tounge before today has still been slightly white. by this time every night my mouth is so dry and coated from all day acid reflux.....I feel sick! But OMG my tounge color right now tonight is so pink it is scary to see....I have not saw my tounge this color (without hard scraping) in years!!!
Each night before bed I usually drink my alka setzer to get the heartburn down enough so I can sleep.....Have not had to drink my alka setzer in 5 days!!!!! I dont want to get my hopes up...because I knew this was ONE of the possible causes of my BB. But I just had to post this tonight. Wow! I have eaten food all day and my tounge is PINK!!!!! WTF???
Anyway goodnight peeps! i will not post each day! but I want to keep you guys updated on this nexium round! good night

That's so great!! Before taking the Nexium, did you have a constant "lump" in your throat and s feeling that something was always in your throat? I have that feeling and constant post nasal drip. I've been told that my breath smells fecal and I've been really picked on about it. Recently, I tried probiotics and bentonite clay, but its not helping. Do you think Nexium would help me?

@ruthere1 Yes constant, lump feeling in my throat. And when I cough up all of the mucous...it has a yellow tinge in it (acid)....sometimes when i cough up the mocous after i can feel my throat burning. Can u imagine what that acid does while sitting there all night while u sleep? Thats why when peolpe w/ BB and GERD wake up in the morning!! Our breath wreeks!! And toothpaste only make the smell worst because Toothpaste exerbates (spell check) acid if u swallow it, so of course it make that smell on the tounge worst. So normal brushing does not help us...thats why alot of BB people us peroxide becuse that nuetralizes and oxygenates our mouth momentarily and removes that bad bacteria. But it comes right back in minutes or hours because the SOURCE deep down is GERD!!! And it is a constant losing battle until u cure that Acid!
@ Butterfly Im taking 40mg...once a day first thing in the AM and I before taking this medication. HAD HEARTBURN ALL DAY EVERYDAY! So bad that if i leaned foward to tie my shoe or pick up something off the floor...My throat would feel like it was on fire!
I know a lot of people are agaist proton pump inhibitors like nexium…because It completely stops stomach acid production. But for some reason my body has always be too acidic and Ive always knew that but I was not conscious of it. I never had BB before 2008 and now that I think back on my life before Ive always had heartburn,,,,I guess it finally caught up to me! But Im not going to stop till Im cured. Homeopathically and with medical science. I truly believe that this is reversible and curable. Some of us are just born with a lot of unknown intolerances to food and we go on suffering and lead to other issues like GERD and BB and over active mucous production and yeast over growth ect. I hope this answered your question….it’s the next morning and I woke up to a pink tounge….this is CRAZY!!!

i used to take omeprazole for two months my gastro told me, i saw improvement though but i was not cured, i had a feeling that i might have multiple causes..like also in my nose might have sinusitis and and also in my ear, just like you i had burning sensation too, nexium is very expensive but found out that it is another kind of medicine for acid i mean its not only an acid blocker but it helps eliminate acid.unlike omeprazole which only helps block acid...i would like to give it a try but i need to have a prescription of it..and i am planning to go back to ent doctor...dunno when...btw..dd u notice also an improvement in your breath?
