Hi I havent been testing it but just did a bit of research and am trying to find somewhere in the UK who can do a test. I have no idea how likely it is to be the cause of BB, but am so desperate for a cure am gonna look into it further. Please let me know if u take a test or anything :)

i have tested twice last weeks. stool test and breath urea test.stool test was negative.after seeing the results, i searched and find academic articles questioning how reliable stool tests are for detecting h.pylori and accordig the one article it's accuracy was between %80-90 (if i remember right). so i thought trying breath urea test wouldn't hurt.i was right. it was positive.

i'm on triple treatment right now ,its been 3 days and no change in my situation. but i don't want to discourage you, as i read on forums, a lot of people was cured after solving this problem.

apart from the possiblity of being source of bb, it is important being cured since it's said that this bacteria is a major cause of stomach ulcer. fyi.

Really .. i will certainly add breath urea to my list of test now. How accurate is the breath test though ? Where I was tested it wasn't an option . What kind of specialist gives them ?

Well, i was sceptical because my doctor who wanted me having stool tests for parasites said at least three repeat is a must, and even then it's not %100 accurate. He told me that the sample they're looking is very small part of the whole,so it can be misleading. And also, after googleing the process some time, i found articles reporting that even the process is quite simple, it takes experienced professionals to reach accurate results. There were lots of noteworthy steps that both professionals and patients must be aware of.Like, how the sample must arrive the lab in 30 minutes.
I simply didn't trusted the labs here, considering even doctors weren't giving a damn about you, and knowing my eating habits, i felt the necessity to double check it.

As for breath urea test, it's the easiest test i've had to the date. All i needed to do was blowing into a plastic bag for like 5 mins or so.A few days later results were ready.

I had this test in the nuclear medicine department in a university hospital.Other hospitals in town weren't capable of performing this test.

As for your situation, you already had three different tests of different kind, if i were you i simply wouldn't bother.just my opinion though.

Has anyone ever cured BB by fixing H-py ??
its said that More than 50% of people have it . But bb is Rare ,so i question the connection .

i will have the breath urea test soon . Its unfortunate that they only offer antibiotics as a cure though.

any other way would save millions. that adverse effects of triple treatment is a killer.i'm lucky that i don't mind much about how my stomach or generally my body feels, but i can easily see that a lot of people would find that effects unbearable.
