refrigeration
refrigeration
Maybe one of our problems is refrigeration. God intended food to be fresh. Maybe the food has the same nutritional value seven days after it's made as long as its kept cold, but I don't know about that. Before refrigeration, people who didn't live in arctic environments made and picked all their food fresh every day. Bread, meat, fruits. I've heard that one study correlated the spike in Crohn's Disease with the invention of refrigeration. We know preservatives are probably all toxic, because sodium nitrate from hot dogs, frozen chicken, etc, has been correlated with or maybe even shown to cause pancreatic, stomach I think, ovary, and other cancers. The Christian homeschooling community who makes all their own food was onto preservatives 40 years ago or whenever they came out, because they run counter to God's plan for people to eat fresh food, and preservatives true origin is in laziness and greed, so that people could mass produce bread and other foods that could be shipped long distances and stay fresh for long periods of time, to earn them more money, and to enable consumers not to have to work hard to make their own fresh food. Maybe refrigeration and preservatives will be implicated in more autoimmune diseases other than Crohn's, like allergies in the future; but until then, they are guilty until proven innocent in my book. In Christ, Mike
