What Cured My Halitosis/Bad Breath - Tonsils and Adenoids - BEWARE SIDE EFFECTS, CHOKING ON LIQUIDS, 9YEARS SCAM????
My nose from septoplasty is crusted. And I'm still in on antibiotics, which that pill alone smells funky. I smell it before I take it and it's gross smelling.
Jimi, try and stay calm. yes, it may not work and I'm ok if that is the case. We don't need to create abrasivness to those trying to help.

I have read a study that showed that adenoids can function as a reservoir for bacteria causing chronic ear infections. The ear infection keeps coming back because bacteria in the adenoids keeps traveling back there. If that's the case with ear infections then perhaps something similar could be at play here for some of us. Bacteria in the adenoids could maybe travel down the throat into the oral cavity where they start mixing with other bacteria, breaking down foods and stuff, creating biofilms and all that shit. I'm just saying it's not unfeasible.Jimi Stein wrote:I am doubtful because my bb is super strong, the source cant be only from small adenoids, it is not believable for me......
and the guy who was cured had mild bad breath....he was not a room filler
When I can swallow and breathe normally I will start to gage my breath. I don't want any false positives OR the opposite.
I will be as real as possible at that point, hoping in a week or so.
Corpse, I have constant ear itch, pain too that came and went. I woke up this a.m. With ear pain. It's all messed up in my ENT area.
Of course I'd rather live with ear issues than bb, but if removing adenoids helps with my ears that would be nice. Crossing fingers for 2 birds with one stone.

I personally suspect this procedure will be helpful only to those with fecal odour and not other types. Nevertheless, I am still willing to go through with the procedure because there is absolutely nothing to lose but that 1% chance that this will be our answer!

Please remember that she also had some issue with a rotten tooth. All these things can combine to create a lot of confusion and obsession.
Maybe she has slight BB because of a remaining tooth problem. Maybe she now has no BB at all and just obsessing over nothing.
DEALING WITH BB IS ABOUT TRIAL AND ERROR! As corpsebreath said, there's hundreds of different causes of BB and there can be multiple causes of BB, but most are straightforward to solve when you get the right help, and some like the adenoids take effort because doctors are just taught that they are harmless and never cause any issues, but we KNOW this is not true. Adenoids CAN cause BB if they become crypted or shrivel up into a shape that can harbour bacteria and crap. The only way to know is to eliminate them from the equation. Even blood borne BB can at least be reduced or even eliminated by following the same kind of methods that people with secondary TMAU use.
My fingers crossed for you mindyb. If it's not your cure then that's something else you can cross off and will have learned from as you get one step closer to finding out your true cause.
Once again, thank you for being the voice of reason. This is a sensitive topic and it is understandable that emotions would run wild. Jimi, please don't direct your anger to the wrong place. We are all here for the same reason. There are many causes of halitosis and it would be silly to think that every case was caused by adenoids. The choice is yours ... You can roll over and die or you can systematically rule out every possible cause. I WILL try to get my Adenoids removed ... and if that is not my cure ... I will check that off my list and continue on to the next possible cause. I DO believe 9Years had halitosis and I DO believe he found his cure. I don't think there is any hidden motive here. He found his cure, got his life back, and just wants to help others. Please don't chase him away.
Mindy,
Please take your time in the assessment of your breath. Don't prematurely rush to a conclusion.

How many of us have jumped to have our tonsils removed, in every sense a risky and usually very painful experience in adults, and yet I don't know anyone who has ever been completely cured by tonsillectomy alone. Nobody jumps on them though. Clearly, smelly/shitballed tonsils are a symptom of something else.
We've now had 2 people who say they were cured when they had their adenoids removed. And that's 2 more than tonsillectomies alone, as far as I'm aware.

I can't imagine what it must be like to go through this alone, without a job or loved one. My heart goes out to those of you who are in that far worse position than I was. I also know some of you have jobs and/or spouses and family that stick by you, including Mindy. But regardless of your personal life, you must not give up. You can't let that depression, anger, or loneliness destroy you. You must channel it into something positive and try everything that could be a possible cure. The is a better life that awaits you.
I know I can't guarantee that my cure will work for everyone, but I do guarantee that it will work for most of you with my symptoms. It's simple - tonsils out, fecal breath, metallic taste, PND, white tongue, nasopharyngeal location. It's adenoids and cyst like tonsil stones, that's all. I did it and it worked. Mindy's ENT found and removed cysts just like mine. I can't wait to hear back from her once she's in a position to gauge her cure, but I'm going to say it right now anyway. She will be cured! I guaranfuckingtee it!
Adenoidectomy has been scheduled for me.
Another Tornwaldt Cyst has been seen via nasal endoscopy and a "pocket" in the adenoid tissue. It's no coincidence we have these cysts.
I'm feeling confident this will resolve my problem. Just wanna thank 9YearsToFindACure for sharing his story.
one ENT didnt notice this cyst. one told me i didn't have adenoid tissue. one told me i have adenoids but they weren't the cause.

He said mucus can get stuck in them so i'm sure if you have any sort of pockets, they can cause a smell.Corpsebreath wrote:That is ****ing awesome Fedup. I'm sure this is it for you. I'm wondering what those pockets looks like that he found. When i look at my adenoid through my endoscope i can see multiple folds that i think looks like "pockets". Did your ENT say anything about them? Could pockets without a cyst be enough to cause halitosis?
how did you get a hold of a nasal endoscope lol. i remember looking up for them on ebay and they cost a lot of money.
you got nothing to lose go for tonsillectomy/adenoid removal.
