if I use hydrogen peroxide I have normal breath for 24 hours too but that isnt a cure cuz it only is a temporary solution lile mints and gums .
I Just want to get rid of this bb forever without taking suppliments or mouthwashes everyday

Did you even read the thread? Nobody here is talking about this like it's a cure. We all know it can't be used long term, and that it won't permanently fix any problems. If you want a cure, how about staying out of a thread titled "Bismuth manages my bb" and find one that says "____ cured my bb"Norman wrote:pple are talking here about a cure. this isnt a cure even if it improves or help vanish ur bb it still isnt a cure as long it doesnt help cure ur problem permanently!!

That is true but I believe the reason why Bismuth has been very popular here is because of the way it can do so many things. I act as an antacid also so for those whose bb is from Gerd they will find it useful as well. It can react with the gasses that causes odors as well and take away the odor.Hello1 wrote:Hi All
I don't know if this is helpful but worth posting.
Bismuth is often one of the drugs used in the combo of drugs to treat H Pylori infection. I wondering if anyone who is finding Peto Bismol useful in managing their BB been tested for H Pylori? If you do get tested, you will need to have not taken any Pepto Bismol for a month, otherwise there is a risk of a false negative.

Just to confirm, those who are helped by PB are not diagnosed with acid reflux and do not get better with standard PPI trials perscribed GI?
Can't believe I missed this thread for so long! Hope I can find this at my pharmacy.
No I am not. And I am getting tired of thinking I am only for it to resurface. My doctor prescribed Pantoprazole for me a month ago. The first few days i took it I believe that was the end of bb only for it to resurface again.steffna wrote:
hi blessedrich, I was wondering, are you bb free now and are you still taking pepto bismol? I was reading this thread and I also have hiatal hernia and silent reflux. I don't know if my chronic bb is caused by those directly. I think they may have helped create a high bacteria environment, even contributing to yeast infections probably. I think there's a connection. My theory is that when your sphincter doesn't work properly and acid/gases pollute your esophagus, a chain reaction starts and our mouths get affected and become out of control. Bacteria will deteriorate our teeth and gums. It can affect also skin and other parts of our body, greasy scalp etc ( in my opinion ).

I think you are spot-on on your analysis. Because now i am able to control odour coming directly from my mouth with waterpik and H2O2. But my bb is not cured because It is hard to reach my sinus and my throat area where i believe bacteria are still populating.
When you chew PB and swallow, a couple of things happen.
1. it coats your throat where it is hard to reach with brushing or flossing and reduces odour emanating from that area.
2. if acid reflux is part of your problem, it gives you relief from that.
3. if there is bacteria overgrowth in your stomach, it reduces odorous gasses from bacteria just like it does in your throat.
I use Pb only when need be. I don't use it on daily basis because for some reason it looses it effectiveness when i use it continuously.
Does bleach still help you??searching wrote:There is useful information seen here describing the oral- and colon-based source of bad breath, and, the management thereof, using bismuth salts.
The author (inventor) claims the difference between those with and without bad breath is traced to the presence, or absence, of sulfite-reducing bacteria in the gut. Those with halitosis are exhaling volatile sulfur compunds (VSC) that originate in the gut. The oral administration of bismuth salts binds the VSC thus reducing bad breath. People with “healthy gut" microorganisms produce far less VSCs.
The author indicates a breath test that measures the methane versus hydrogen exhaled, during the test, can determine the predisposition the person may have to produce VSCs.
For years, the ingestion of bismuth subsalicylate, e.g. Pepto Bismol™ sold in the U.S.A. has helped me manage my BB. A key may be to alter the gut microbial population from VSC producing, to non-VSC producing.
Incidentally, when I use bismuth subsalicylate to manage my bb, my solid waste, albeit not floral scented, has far less VSC versus my typical VSC concentration. Apologies for the graphic description.

That's great to hearsearching wrote:Hello Cureplzz,Cureplzz wrote:searching wrote:Does bleach still help you??
Yes, bleach solution dilute with water does still help.
A this time I'm testing the effects of activated charcoal, mentioned elsewhere on this forum, taken orally, about 0.5 grams, twice daily. The activated charcoal appears to be a good substitute for bismuth subsalicylate, adsorbing VSCs generated in the digestive tract.
@seaching I've been using this solution for about two weeks it works so great I don't have bb the whole day. If I go the next day without using it my breath is fresh still. Do you have this same affect??? Would you call it a cure or just temporary?? Also thanks so much for you updates I was so nervous to try it but so glad I did.Cureplzz wrote:That's great to hearsearching wrote:Hello Cureplzz,Cureplzz wrote:
