I'm not sure about that, I think my GERD developed from previous years of unhealthy eating habits, alcohol abuse and drinking apple cider vinegar every morning.
Why do you think probiotics caused it? There is a post by Dr. Murat saying we should be careful because probiotics can cause SIBO...

i don’t think probiotics caused the GERD. Probably you have low stomach acid which is causing the GERD.

I experience symptoms of GERD myself and I am currently taking probiotic supplements to help reduce the symptoms. I personally haven't heard of anyone developing GERD after taking probiotics.
