some info about excess copper

Post by Archimonde »

Copper is closely related to estrogen metabolism

Blood, urine and even hair analysis may not reveal copper toxicity directly.

Physical conditions associated with copper imbalance include fatigue, adrenal burnout, insomnia, migraine headaches, fungal and bacterial infections including yeast infection, gum disease

Today, many children are born with excessive tissue copper. It is passed from high-copper mothers to their children through the placenta. Another source of copper is drinking water that remained in copper water pipes. Other sources of copper are copper cookware, dental materials, vitamin pills, fungicides and pesticides residues on food, copper intra-uterine devices and birth control pills.

Whenever zinc becomes deficient, copper tends to accumulate

When copper is out of balance, our bodies cannot control yeast overgrowth. This often led to chronic Candida albicans infections that are resistant to treatment.

Excess copper interferes with zinc, a mineral needed to make digestive enzymes. Too much copper also impairs thyroid activity and the functioning of the liver.

Archi, great info.
I have thyroid dysfunction and must have had candida because the Lufenuron worked for me. Is there any true fire way to balance copper that you've read? I will look into it too.
Right now I'm maintaining with GSE and probiotic, but my fear is that it will not be enough to keep candida away.

Vitamin C chelates or removes copper from the body. Zinc does too. I'm not sure if vitamin supplements are effective though.

I researched copper after reading this old post:

Out of the hundreds of tests I have had over the years I believe I maybe onto something?

I have started taking perscribed vitamins to hopefully balance it out.

Thanks for this great post Archimode!

I've been reading up on this and things are making since this could be a link in this crazy puzzle. I do notice that when I do a vitamin c flush I feel so much better not only do I release toxins but what I believe is candida as well. I'm definitely looking at this more closely.

Also, I found out that copper toxicity affect young women and children more often than anyone else. My guess is bcuz of it's relationship with estrogen dominance which can explain alot of us experiencing bb after puberty and/or pregnancy.

Wow, thanks for posting about this.

It really makes sense to me, I have a lot, if not all, of these symptoms.

I'm going to try and get my hands on some zinc supplements, as well as modify diet, will report back here with results, if any.

in years past on this forum, a lot of people were having success with chewable Vitamin C, (sugar free I believe.)

again, great find. I'm going to read more about it all. Thanks, Archi
