It's funny that you post this topic now because I started to use grapefruit seed extract (GSE) last saturday -9/8/07- and since then I've been having vey good results. In fact for the first time in almost eight years I've been feeling like a human being again.
. The only reason why I didn't post about it yet is because I didn't want to bring false hope to you guys. I wanted to use it for another week or so first and see if the result is long lasting.
So, it's definately something worth trying. I wouldn't say it's a cure for me yet, but so far so good.
Also I ordered the Pro-M internal deodorizer and started using it two days ago. So right now I'm using both the GSE and the internal deodorizer.

Yea I must say that those who have removed thier tonsils and still suffer the same make me worried about my procedure in 10 days.
BBNO, did you get any relief?
Did you suffer from tonsil stones or did you just do it to see if it would help?
Had you eliminated your mouth as the cause by a dentist saying so?
Its so strange to me since even when my mouth is super clean, all I have is that nasty stone taste in the back of my throat and if its the same for others, then why doesnt it help everyone?
Gotta say I am getting worried about this even though all I want is a 50% reduction after the removal of the tonsils. Something I can actually work with.

Yes I did get some relief. It wasn't instataneous because my throat/mouth felt like shit for the first week. The pain meds made it quite bareable though. Its been about 2 months and have NO BAD TASTE in mouth like I did before the surgery. My tongue is much pinker than before and morning breath isn't as bad. The ENT said it may take months for the flora in my mouth to change and that there is no guarantee my breath would improve. At least I won't have anymore tonsil stones and won't have to wonder about my tonsils anymore. I believe they were one source of BB and that I still have others like GERD or Hiatal Hernia. I'm still hyper-sensitive to negative reactions. One thing I have learned is that hunger makes my breath much WORSE.
Basically acid reflux. If you change your diet then you can beat that since its all caused by acidic foods. Google alkaline diet and you will see the difference between acidic foods and alkaline foods.
I have been on a major change of diet for 3 weeks eating 85% fresh fruits and veggies which is a total opposite of what I used to eat like pork and dairy 90% of the time. Also not eating late and eating smaller meals and chewing your food better helps with GERD without meds like prilosec.
I was diagnosed with GERD by the first ENT i saw before I saw the stones but then as soon as I did I went to another and he says to get rid on tonsils.
I will stay on the diet cause I feel heathier and if GERD is causing my BB in addition to other things like stones then after the removal of tonsils I should have some great relief.

I'm using the GSE from pureliquidgold.com. It's in liquid form, therefore I use it as drops. I take it three ways. First, I add two to three drops in my saline solution that I use to irrigate my sinuses and nasal cavity. I do this every other day. Then I add six drops to a glass of juice or water and drink it three times a day for a total of about twenty drops a day. And lastly, I add three or four drops in 3/4 cup of water, put it in a spray bottle, and use it as a nasal spray which I use throughout the day. When I use the spray I sniff the liquid hard to make sure it goes down my throat.TIREDOFIT wrote:jess - are you using the pill form or nasal drops for the GSE??? I received my odor cleanse pills yesterday, so I will soon be taking something very similar to you. What is in your deodorizer???
BBNO: Pro-M deodorizer is almost the same thing as the odor cleanse. Only it comes in much higher dose than odor cleanse, which is why I chose to try it instead. I buy mine from life extension.
Right now I can't really comment on the efficacity of the Pro-M internal deodorizer yet. I was using the GSE for a couple days and I was seeing results from it already, before I started the deodorizer, so I can't really tell whether or not it's helping.
Jess, I too bought my Pro-M direct from the manufacturer but just found out that I could've gotten it for $10 cheaper at another website. Just google the product name and it should come up as $16 something at this other site(which I can't remember at the moment). As well, you don't need a membership to get that price at this other site(some online health store).
Yeah I saw that many other websites were selling the Pro-M at cheaper prices too. But there's a slight difference between their bottle and the one from life extension. To BBNO:
I saw a difference in both my PND and my breath. And right now I have no idea where my bb comes from. But I doubt it's coming from the mouth area. As of now I still suffer from bb, but not as bad as before I started using these products. So I intend to keep using the GSE and the internal deodorizer and see what happens.
Another thing I notice is that about 30 minutes after I take the Pro-M internal deodorizer I have that fresh clean feeling coming from the inside of my digestive tract. It lasts for like 15 mins or so. Don't know if anyone else using this product or the odor cleanse notice that.
