Here's a science article on tonsils, particularly tonsil stones, and bb. It says that these stones can cause a detectable odour from the mouth. They also have pic of the stones in the crypts. If you tried rubbing your tongue with a Qtip and it doesn't smell maybe you don't have bb. You have to get the liquid from your tongue and then spread on your skin so that the heat from your skin evaporates the volatile smells. Left on the Qtip, without applying to your skin it probably won't smell....

I've noticed that chewing gum can still give me bad breath even after cleaning my entire mouth. If you have pnd and tonsils I think chewing moves around smelly secretions from the tonsils or smelly spit from the tongue. So Vit C might be a good choice for people who have their tonsils and pnd.

I think I may have figured out that we multiple types of bb coming from different locations. On a daily basis I go through an intensive oral cleaning routine starting from the teeth, tongue, tonsils and sinuses. If Vit C is helping you, consider switching to Ester-C and see if it's as good as regular Vit C. Ester C is calcium ascorbate so it's non-acidic and won't harm your teeth enamel. It's a bit safer to use than the regular acidic form.
